Jennifer and Jamie’s Friern Manor Wedding.
It had been a good number of years since we were last at Friern Manor and that was a cold snowy December evening. This was a very different day…
Jennifer and Jamie’s wedding started on a lovely spring day at Jennifer’s family home in Essex. Although the house was a hive of activity with 4 bridesmaids, parents, brother and bride all getting ready there, it was super chilled and we lost count of the number of times we were offered tea and nibbles. Today was going to be a good day.
It was then on to Friern Manor and a very different Friern Manor to the one we remembered. So on our last visit there we missed the beautiful lake, the stunning grounds, and the fabulous indoor/outdoor area in case it rains (more on that later)!
The ceremony was in the South Lawns Conservatory, a light and airy space that’s half conservatory and half luxury marquee. Jennifer looked beautiful as she made her entrance with her dad, Jamie could not have been prouder.
After the ceremony everybody made their way through to The Old Coaching Stables for canapés, photos and general merriment, followed by dinner and speeches. The day was all going great, then the darkest, blackest cloud came over and gave us rain of biblical proportions. Now the indoor/outdoor area, or as Friern like to call it, ‘The Indoor Garden’ was just the ticket as it allowed everybody to stay dry while still feeling like they were outside. For us, this was the perfect time to take Jennifer and Jamie outside for a photo. Now I know I said the heavens had opened up, but trust me, this was the PERFECT time for a photo! Jennifer and Jamie trusted us implicitly and we made sure they stayed dry with an umbrella, and with a little magic from our lighting set up, we took a photo I know they love.
Jennifer and Jamie were a super couple to work with, they had a fab day and a storm in the evening was the icing on the cake. J&J, we wish you all our love for the next part of your journey together.
