Shoreditch Engagement Shoot

Jordanne and Toby have their Shoreditch wedding fast approaching so today saw the engagement shoot. Can’t give anything away, but I’m really excited about this one, will be uber cool & trendy! Anyway, back to todays shoot, we started in Spitalfields and headed towards Shoreditch to check out the venue. Did I mention I’m exited about shooting a wedding in Shoreditch House??? J&T were a little nervous at first, but soon got into it & were good fun to work with.

No pressure on me, Jordanne’s dad is a great photographer and her sister is currently doing a photography degree in New York!

One of the great things about being a London wedding photographer is the choice and variety of locations and this whole area is a goldmine.

Did I mention I’m looking forward to this one……..

Upnor Castle Wedding

Beautiful Upnor Castle on the banks of the Medway saw the marriage of Joanne & Lee. Wedding photography at Upnor castle has amazing opportunities as there are plenty of locations such as tunnels, stone arches and a spiral staircase. Upnor Castle is owned by English Heritage, who also own fantastic venues for wedding photography such as Eltham Palace and The Rangers House among many.

Anyway, back to Joanne & Lee who had a beautiful ceremony in a candlelit part of the castle, followed by a reception at Judds Folly in Faversham. As a surprise, Jo had arranged for a gaming room to be set up in at the venue for the lads to chance their arm with lady luck!

Well Jo & Lee, I wish you both the best of luck with your life together. :-)

Islington Town Hall Wedding

Every London wedding photographer should have Islington Town Hall in their portfolio as it is one of the iconic London wedding venues. Situated on Upper St in the heart of trendy Islington, this is one of the coolest venues going frequented by the chic & famous as well as everyday Islington folk.
So while I’m not a celebrity wedding photographer, treading in the footsteps of Paul & Linda McCartney today, saw Nicola & Dave in a beautiful ceremony in this amazing March sunshine. A lovely couple, Nicola looked stunning in her dress, very stylish and a beautiful smile, she was a photographers dream.
So Islington Town Hall? No parking, multiple weddings (every 20 min!), reception elsewhere (still with no parking), Middle of a High St, sounds like a photographers nightmare? Well for me, I absolutely loved it and can’t wait for the next one!

Indian Wedding

Following a civil ceremony, Saleha and Richard had a traditional Muslim wedding. Every Indian wedding photographer must love the theatre and ceremony that accompanies a traditional Indian wedding with all the colour and excitement, and this one did not disappoint! Saleha looked amazing in her wedding outfit and showed typical Indian hospitality by insisting we stay and eat with them. The day was far removed from most weddings I cover and a great experience I loved being a part of.

Croydon Wedding

Today saw the wedding of Tatum and Gareth. Being the photographer at their Oaks Farm wedding was great fun and Tatum & Gareth were a real joy to work with. For a March wedding, the weather in Croydon was fantastic for photography and made a real difference to the couples day. It enabled us to do the majority of the wedding photography outdoors, as Surrey was basking in sunshine.

Eva

Em & Ian brought little Eva over for a family portrait today. Making the trip from across the river, they could have chosen an Essex photographer, but I was pleased they came to Blackheath for their portrait photography and I’m sure they will be thrilled when they see the results.
Em & Ian wanted a good number of black & white photos, which suits my style perfectly & I was only to happy to oblige. I have to say, Eva was the perfect model, smiling throughout and not at all bothered by the studio lights constantly flashing.

Uniqlo Undercover

So a big shoot at Uniqlo’s flagship UK store in Oxford St saw us photographing families to promote their brand new range, Uniqlo Undercover. This shoot was a lot of fun and something completely different from the norm. Family portraits, couples portraits, group portraits and kids portraits all rolled into a massive fashion shoot! Uniqlo had set up two backdrops, each with a huge gold frame to step inside for a portrait. I was stationed at one, while the hugely talented Jeremy Walker was photographing at the other one. Sarah was looking after the nerve centre where all the images were immediately beamed to via WiFi, (although I am aware she couldn’t resist taking a sneaky photo herself!). While I’m doing the credits, a huge thanks to Darren our runner on the day and Kat of Uniqlo who made sure everything ran to clockwork.
A great privilege to be involved in a project of this scale, Uniqlo Undercover has had a worldwide launch. The photos below represent a small portion of shots taken throughout what was a real fun day.

Uniqlo Shoot

On 16th March at midnight, Uniqlo launch their new clothing range, Uniqlo Undercover. In celebration of this, there will be the opportunity of visiting their flagship store in Oxford St W1 and having your photo taken by yours truly. Why not come along and say hello, see the new range and take a photo away with you? Really exited about this one, fashion shoot for a global clothing brand.

Chloe & Ross

Presented Chloe & Ross with their wedding photos today, including a slideshow. Think I can comfortably say they were thrilled, as were we to have been a part of their day and to have produced some great images.

Chloe & Ross

Sunday saw the wedding of Chloe & Ross. After doing their engagement shoot nearly a year ago, I was really excited about their Kent wedding. It was great to be part of their special day & Chloe & Ross really got into their wedding photos. I now have the job of editing and can’t wait to share the final images with them.
If I overuse the term ‘a lovely couple’ it’s because most of the couples I photograph seem to be exactly that! Chloe & Ross were no exception and an absolute joy to work with. Chloe & Ross, I wish you all the best in your new life together.
Little Silver Country Hotel was a beautiful venue and as a London wedding photographer, it was good to get out into deepest darkest Kent and smell the fresh air! The people there made myself and Sarah really welcome and arranged a fantastic wedding ceremony.
