Emily and Joe’s Knowle Country House Wedding
More often than not we photograph weddings all in one venue, so Emily and Joe’s wedding was a nice change. We started off at Emily’s parent’s house where Emily was getting ready with her two sisters and her daughter.
Emily had told us that a few key moments were important to her and she really wanted them captured. Her sister doing her hair, her dad seeing her for the first time and her and her daughter. They were all moments we would naturally capture during the wedding morning, but we make sure these photos were extra special. Emily’s sister is a wedding hairdresser – Sophistic Hair and “the hair spray shot” is one of our classics, so of course we had to get a shot with Sophie finishing Emily’s hair.
The father of the bride seeing his daughter in her wedding dress is always a big moment and this was no exception.
Next was the church where the wedding ceremony took place. The church was right next to a school and it just so happened to be break time when Emily arrived, it was lovely to see all of the children lined along the fence excited to get a good look at the beautiful bride in her dress!
The church service was lovely, with a Vicar that made the whole thing feel very personal and relaxed.
It was then on to The Knowle Country House to celebrate!
The grounds at The Knowle are stunning and perfect for photos. As it was a beautiful sunny June day we knew we had lots of hours of daylight, so after taking a few photos of Emily and Joe with the gorgeous vintage Rolls Royce wedding cars we left them alone to enjoy their drinks reception and catch up with all of their guests. This is a great time for us to capture candid photos of everyone enjoying themselves.
We saved photos of Emily and Joe until after dinner when the light was softer, it was a great time to go for a little wander around the pond and through the long grass as the sun started to go down. Once we were back the DJ was ready, the evening guests had arrived and it was time to party!
Emily and Joe’s day was fun and relaxed and we think this shines through in their photos! Congratulations to you both xx
